A native of the Finger Lakes Region in New York State, Mark has lived the past 20+ years in North Carolina and currently lives on the Little River in Hillsborough, NC with his wife, Jacqui. He photographs and sketches all of the scenery and subject matter in his paintings from his personal experiences on wilderness rivers, lakes, streams and shorelines of North Carolina.
Mark’s research and art adventures to sketch and photograph wildlife have taken him to the Masai Mara in Kenya’s Savanna, the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, Alaska’s Baranoff Islands and annual trips to Yellowstone National Park and many remote wilderness areas in Montana.
He has participated in various wildlife art shows across the country including North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, and New York. Mark’s artwork has contributed to such conservation groups as Quail Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited, the Audubon Society and he has had several appearances as a guest artist on the PBS show “Paint! Paint! Paint!”
